About Me

My name is David Powell, and I am an aspiring professional in the field of sports journalism! In a couple of months, I will officially be a graduate of Central Michigan University. When I finish at CMU, I will have a bachelor's degree with a major in journalism and a minor in sports communication.

Throughout my time in college, I made a conscious effort to learn as much as I could about the craft of journalism using both my classes and my time at Central Michigan Life, the student led publication on campus. 

My time in school has given me the chance to grow in my reporting, writing and multimedia skills. As I leave college, I feel like I have a strong foundation as I try to break into the field. I am excited to tackle whatever is next in in my life!
